2-1-1 Launches Texting for Tax Referrals

Eden I&R has launched a two-way texting pilot for tax preparation assistance information in Alameda County. Although 2-1-1 staff have been texting referral information to callers over the last several years, this recent enhancement now allows for staff to conduct live texting conversations with those wishing to converse via texting. Eden I&R Selected to Participate in the San Francisco Bay Area Service Net Pilot

We are excited to be part of Benetech’s Service Net pilot in the Bay Area! Collaboration is at the heart of this initiative. Accessing Benetech’s Service Net data collaboration platform will enable us to share with each other the resource directory data that we have been developing and honing throughout the years, sharing the load of data maintenance and updates but also enriching each other’s datasets and knowledge of the local safety net. Phone System Upgrade

Eden I&R/2-1-1 Alameda County is upgrading to a new cloud-based phone system that will complement our cloud-based database. The move from our current phone system to the new system will take place on Tuesday, August 14 between 8 am and 9 am . Every effort has been made to avoid extensive downtime or unplanned outages, but we wanted to share this news in advance so no one is caught off guard by a possible outage.
