On Saturday, April 14th, The CIL’s very first Transportation & Mobility Expo will be held at the iconic Ed Roberts Campus (ERC) in Berkeley, CA from 10am – 4pm. And, Eden I&R/2-1-1 Alameda County will be conducting a safety workshop at this event!
The CIL (The Center For Independent Living) invites community members of all ages and abilities (and their families!) to attend this free event; a transportation and mobility showcase empowering people with disabilities of all ages and their families to get out, to get moving and to actively explore their community.
There will be:
Guest Speakers And Workshops: expect to hear inspirational stories from mobility trail blazers and leaders of industry in transportation, accessibility and community resources.
Assistive Technology: hands-on workshops and displays where participants can touch, see, hear, and learn about innovative mobility devices and technology designed right here in the Bay Area.
Fun & Activities: for youth and family members to engage in, such as complimentary sitting yoga, tai chi classes, and wheelchair basketball.
